This secluded property includes 456 deeded acres
that are bordered on the west, north, and east by National Forest. The
house was constructed in 2003 using Rastra block on slab and has a 24
gauge metal roof. Power is supplied by solar with a 16kwh battery system
and off grid inverter. Phone and internet are supplied via buried line.
Heating is provided by two high efficiency wood stoves. A large set of
south facing high efficiency double pane windows supplement the heating
along with 3 zones of radiant heat under the tile flooring. Each
bathroom has a propane heater. Stove, oven, and on-demand water heater
are propane fueled as well. Cooling, rarely needed at this elevation, is
provided by ceiling fans. The domestic water system consists of a buried
8000 gallon rainwater storage tank and pressure tank. Conventional
septic system was permitted and installed to code.
